Our gamification research group, along with students from the Master’s program ‘International Information Systems’ and Sandra Jeleazcov from the University Hospital in Erlangen, attended the Bavarian gaming event of the year.

Amidst brand-new games, e-sports, expert lectures, anime, and cosplay, we presented our study offerings on game design and gamification at FAU WiSo, as well as current research projects and games designed by students. We had many inspiring conversations and took the opportunity to further strengthen our connections with the Bavarian games community.

A special highlight was the visit from Dr. Fabian Mehring, the State Minister for Digital Affairs in Bavaria, Tobias Gotthardt, Member of the State Parliament and State Secretary for Economic Affairs, and Benjamin Adjei, Member of the State Parliament, with whom we discussed our contribution to knowledge and innovation transfer from the games industry to other sectors.

We are delighted by the significant interest shown by over 5000 visitors in our teaching and research and would like to express our gratitude for the valuable feedback on our work.

The following games were available for testing:

Additionally, we provided an insight into our ‘Industrial Metaverse’ research.”
