Project kick-off – Privacy in the Metaverse (PRIME)
On September 12, the official launch of the project “Privacy in the Metaverse”, funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), took place.
Together with project partners ConPolicy – Institute for Consumer Policy, University of Bonn, and University of Göttingen, the foundation for collaborative work on the joint project was laid. Discussions were held with project sponsors and associated partners, and the next steps for the six work packages aimed at developing and evaluating privacy-friendly design practices in the Metaverse were planned.
In line with the project theme, part of the meeting took place in a virtual meeting room within the Metaverse, provided to us by INVRTUAL UG, a startup from Nuremberg.
We look forward to advancing reserach on privacy in the Metaverse together with our outstanding partners in the coming three years.
