Dr. Marc Riar is a postdoctoral researcher at Technical University of Berlin and an associated researcher at the Gamification & Digital Customer Engagement research group. His research lies at the intersection of behavioral sciences and information systems, with special focus on motivational design, the use of gamification to motivate cooperation and the adoption of augmented reality in E-Business. Currently he is involved in the project “Automated Review Reports and Augmented Reality Interface for Retail” (ATARI), which is conducted in partnership between the Chair of Information and Communication Management at Technical University of Berlin and Trustami GmbH. He holds a M. Sc. in Business Informatics from the University of Mannheim and a B. Sc. in Information Systems Management from Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences. Prior to joining Technical University of Berlin, he worked as a research assistant at Ludwig Maximilians University (LMU) in Munich and Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences. In addition to his scientific endeavors, Dr. Riar has worked at various companies, including Lufthansa German Airlines in New York, SAP in Walldorf, Systec & Services GmbH as well as Fiducia & GAD IT AG in Karlsruhe.
